How can I see better through my binoculars, if I wear glasses?
Most BSA binoculars are fitted with rubber eyecups that can be rolled down for a better field of view with glasses.

Boresighter
Can it be used for a shotgun?
Yes, from the end of 2002, BSA BS30 boresighter comes with an adjustable arbor which will work with shotguns and muzzle loaders.
Where can I get bore studs for my shotguns?
We do not make bore studs in those sizes. Our boresighter kit has 15 bore studs (ranging in size from .177 cal. to .50 cal.).
Why doesn't the .177 bore stud fit into the new .177 caliber rimfire rifle?
The .177 is .007 of an inch larger than the bore size of your .17 caliber rifle.

Are all your scopes waterproof, fog proof and shock proof?
All are shock proof. Most are waterproof and fog proof. See the catalogue for details.
Can I buy BSA products directly?
Yes. Please go to the Products Page or Price List for a list of items available online. Those items not available can found on the LINKS Page or at your local Sporting Goods or Firearms Dealer.
Can I modify the appearance of my BSA scope, Red Dot or Laser Sight with camouflage paint or other color?
No. Changing the product from the manufacturers’ recommendation will void the warranty.
Can you install a different reticle on my BSA scope if I send it to you?
No. We do not replace reticles.
Do you sell Sunshades for scopes?
No.
How can I speed focus my BSA scope?
On Catseye & other BSA models with this feature, the speed focus is done at the rear part of the eye bell. Like any piece focus, its purpose is to provide a sharp view of the reticle. It has nothing to do with the focus or sharpness the target.

How do I get my BSA products repaired or replaced?

How long will the battery on my Red Dot last?
The battery type 2032 on your Red Dot will last 8 hours minimum if left on the 6th power position.
Tripod dropped off a bench, can I get replacement parts?
No, we do not have replacement parts for tripods.

What is Shadow Black finish?
BSA’s Shadow Black coating is a special heat process that bonds a strong rubber skin directly onto the aluminum, ing a beautiful, non-glare, soft black finish.
What is the Field of View on my scope?

What is the adjustment ring on the front of my BSA scope marked 10 yds. to infinity?
That ring is the Parallax Correction Dial.
What is the magnification on the Red Dots?
There is no magnification on these sights. You can adjust the brightness of the dot by rotating the knob on the unit. higher the number the brighter the dot appears.
What is the standard Parallax setting on my BSA scope?
BSA rifle scopes are preset at 100 yds.; pistol scopes are at 50 yds.; shotgun scopes at 75 yds. and black powder pes at 75 yds.
What is the tube size of BSA Rifle Scopes?
The tube size for all is one inch, except for the TW-14XS24W1PMTB.
What scopes do you recommend for airguns?

Is there a special way of maintaining BSA scopes?
The only maintenance required on your BSA scopes is by using a high quality lens cleaner with a soft cloth. No special maintenance is required. (Do NOT use solvents or gun oil on your scope.) The lenses can be cleaned by using a high quality lens clean

Red Dot Sights
Can I get replacement bolts, nuts & some parts for the Red Dot Sights?
Yes. Contact BSA Consumer Service Dept. & provide your name, address and scope model so that replacement parts can be sent.
Can I put a RD30 on a Magnum gun?
Yes. They will work & can be mounted on any Magnum rifle, handgun or shotgun.
Can I use the RD30 for 300 yds.?
Yes.

Terminology
What is Eye Relief?
It is the optimum distance that a scope can be held away from the eye and still provides 100% of the field of view. Many of BSA’s riflescopes have long eye relief, essential for keeping a safe distance from hard-kicking magnum rifles.
What is Field of View?
It is the diameter (side to side view) of the circular field seen through a scope. This distance is usually expressed in terms of a certain width at 100 yards.

What is the Exit Pupil?
It is the diameter of the column of light that exits from the eyepiece of the scope. The larger the exit pupil, the brighter the image appears and the easier it is to find quickly.
